LOGS (Ludhiana Obstetric & Gynecological Society ) was founded in 2003 by Dr. Amarjeet Singh Rattan, a well-known Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Ludhiana,Punjab. He had participated in various national conferences and felt the need of having an acadamic body in our city which could hold the CMEs and discuss the new ideas. His persistent effort paved the way for LOGS ( Ludhiana of Obstetric & Gynecological Society) to be formed and affiliated to the central body ‘FOGSI’ (Federation of Gynecological Societies of India). Dr. Kumkum Avsathi became the first President of LOGS, Dr. Amarjeet singh Rattan became the General Secretary and the Dr. Saroj Aggarwal the first treasurer.
Presently, LOGS has 210 registered members. The society organizes various CMEs, workshops and guest lectures from the national and international faculty so as to keep its members updated about the recent developments and treatment modalities in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The main objective of LOGS is to promote advanced knowledge and research in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology so as to equip the health-care professionals for the betterment of maternal child health.

LOGS (Ludhiana Obstetrics & Gynecological Society) was established in 2003 with an aim to unite all obstetricians and gynecologists of Ludhiana to improve quality of healthcare for women and children.LOGS is a registered medical society headed by an elected team of doctors (members), who are responsible for managing all functions of the council. This society provides a single professional platform for obstetricians and gynecologists of Punjab to assemble, discuss, learn, and create a public opinion on the matters of maternal, child health, and family welfare.

As per MCI, Code of Ethics Regulations 2002, 1.2.2;
It is recommended for every gynecologist and obstetrician to become a member of a registered medical society and actively participate in functioning of such society for the advancement of one’s profession.
