• The New Team of LOGS was installed under the guidance of a senior gynaecologist, Dr. Iqbal Singh Ahuja, after the elections were held on 02/04/2017

• “NARI SWASTHYA PEHAL” women’s health awareness program was initiated by Dr. Rishma Pai (President FOGSI) and carried out by LOGS.
• In this regard, a health check-up camp was arranged in village Mullanpur near Ludhiana.
• The venue was Mohan Kaur Nursing College. The camp was inaugurated by MLA, Mr Kuldeep Singh Vaid.
• In this camp, patients were examined from 9.00 AM to 2.00 PM and free medicines were also distributed. Moreover, Hb,RBS and BMD tests were done free of cost.
• At least 209 patients were examined and recorded in excel sheets as required by FOGSI.
• Dr. Rishma’s message was also displayed on the projector.
• Health advises were also given by LOGS members.
• It was seen that anaemia, and osteopenia were very common in the rural population, a few new cases of diabetic patients were also detected.

• International Yoga Day was celebrated by LOGS (Ludhiana Obstetric & Gynecological Society) at Rakh Bagh, Ludhiana.
• Yoga guru was Mr. Anuj Nayyar from ‘Art of Living’ group. He, along with his two accomplices helped the LOGS members to learn Yoga and meditation.

• The international World Population Day was enthusiastically celebrated on 11/07/2017 by LOGS.
• On this day a declamation contest was held in a Govt. School, where children expressed their views on the rising population.
• Doctors too gave advice for ‘why population control is necessary for our society?’
• The second event was done on the same day for the public in the Civil Hospital, Ludhiana.
• Here, the doctors of LOGS team gave advice to the people regarding family planning, its importance, and the various available methods.

• A CME was held on 15/07/2017 in hotel “ Terminal 5 “, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana at 2.00 p.m
• It was a lunch session, lunch was followed by web telecast from Mumbai by PCOS Society in which Dr. Duru Shah and Prof. Fabio Facchinetti from Italy were the main speakers.
• A total 48 people were present there and the session was appreciated by the public.
• The webinar was followed by a panel discussion on PCOS.
• The panelists were:

  ->Dr. Gitanjali Kaur

• The topic was ‘What Gynaecologists should know about Oncology and Carcinoma Ovary’.
• The speaker was Dr. Raman Arora from Oswal Cancer Hospital, Ludhiana.
• The session was very interactive with 60 participants.

A CME was conducted after the conclusion of ‘Breast Feeding Week’ which was celebrated by LOGS by giving talks to the public in various Hospitals.

• The first talk was by Dr. Daljit Singh, a retired Principal , DMC & Hospital, Ludhiana. He was also the head of Paediatrics Deptt. He talked about ‘Successful initiation of Breast Feeding in Women’.
• The 2nd talk was by Dr. Naveen Bajaj on ‘Neonatal Resuscitation’.
• Some of the senior Paediatricians also attended the event which was held in IMA House, Ludhiana.

A CME was on 18/07/2017 in HOTEL MAHARAJA REGENCY, Ferozepur Road,Ludhiana by Zydus Vaxxicare.The topics were:

• Influenza in Pregnancy; Covert Foe, Overt Hazard . The speakers was Dr. Sangita Malhotra from the Deptt. of PSM, DMC & Hosp. ,Ludhiana.
• Influenza Vaccination: Benefits beyond the Mother. The speaker was Dr. Venus Bansal.
• Influenza B and Vaccine mismatch Conundrum: The way forward. The speaker was Dr. Saroj Aggarwal.
• The Participants were 43 in number and were very enthusiastic about the programme which was followed by High Tea.

A CME was conducted on 09/09/2017 in hotel KG, Best Western in collaboration with the American Instituted of Oncology, DMC& Hospital, LDH.

• Approx. 50 people attended the event.
• The speakers Dr. Amit Dhiman and Dr. Sandhya Sood. The first talk was on all Gynaecological cancers, mainly the case discussions and the second talk was on radition oncology.
• Dr. Rama Sofat and Dr. Veena Jain were the chairpersons.

A CME was conducted by LOGS in Hotel Park Plaza, Ferozpur Road, Ludhiana on called DKT CME GYAN-VARSHA (ACCREDITED BY ICOG) ON 6TH OCT. 2017 from 1p.m to 5p.m .
