• The 3rd speaker was Dr. Hrishikesh D pai & he talked about “All that was new in IVF”.
• The chairpersons this session were Dr. Iqbal Ahuja, Dr. Saroj Aggarwal & Dr.Suman Puri.
• The moderator was Dr. Ginny Gupta. This event was attended by approx. 150 people & was very interactive.

Keeping in mind the corporate social responsibility, a social awareness programme was held by LOGS under the aegis of FOGSI’s VAW cell. A seminar was conducted on “Violence against Women” with the help of zonal coordinator Dr. Reena Wani. The mastertrainer was Dr. Lila Vyas from SMS medical college, Jaipur. Four talks were held followed by panel discussion. The talks were on:

• The current Scenario.
• The laws pertaining to sexual abuse, involvement of doctors.
• Collection of evidence and protocols to be followed.Demonstrate the safe kit at workshop.
• Medical, surgical & psychological management.

The talks were given by Dr.Lila Vyas, Dr. Saroj Aggarwal, Dr.Vidhu Modgil & Dr. Narjit Kaur.

• The CME was conducted under FOGSI endometriosis committee.
• The guest faculty was Dr. Urvashi Jha & Dr. Ramandeep Kaur from Fortis, Delhi.
• 70 registrations were made, the talks by the guest speakers as well as by local faculty were well appreciated by the public.
• CME was accredited with four credit hours by the Punjab Medical Council.

• LOGS (Ludhiana Obstetric & Gynecological Society) celebrated ‘national doctors day’ in a novel way by organizing a walk and a plantation drive in which they planted fruit trees in a govt. school .
• Go Green flag was waved and the children were motivated to maintain the trees.Dr. Saroj Aggarwal , president of the society said that keeping the environment clean and green should be the responsibility of every citizen.

• The moderator was Dr. Zeenie Girn, the speakers were Dr. Vanie Thapar and Dr. Nupur Sharma from Chandigarh. The chairpersons were Dr. Ashima Taneja, Dr. Neelam Sodhi and Dr. Vidhu Modgil.
• 40 members attended the meeting.

• CME held by LOGS in association with LAP (Ludhiana academy of Paediatrics) on the occasion of inauguration of ‘breast feeding week’

There were two talks:

• First was “ When to deliver fetus early” by Dr. Saroj Aggarwal (President LOGS).
• Second was “Late pretem – Am I ready ?” by Dr. Naveen Bajaj (President LAP).
• Also there was panal discussion on breast feeding in which paediatricians and the obstetricians participated equally, Dr. Ashwani Singhal was the moderator.
• Dr. Rajinder Gulati, Dr. Neeraj Thapar, Dr. Inderpreet Sohi, were the panelists from LAP.
• Dr. Gitanjali, Dr. Venus Bansal, Dr. Anantjeet Kaur & Dr. Gursimran were the panelists from LOGS.
• Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rishi Pal singh was the chief guest.
• More than 100 people attended the CME.

A social and public awareness programme was done by LOGS for celebration of “Breast feeding week” from 1st Aug. to 7th Aug. It was a first of its kind programme and an innovative idea to hold talks in 7 different hospitals of Ludhiana, one per day to teach the nurses and the paramedics about the advantages of breast feeding to the mother and baby. The event was supported by Johnson & Johnson.

• Webinar by GSK on “Management of Hypothyroidism – Tips & Tricks” by Dr. Ambrish Mittal (Endocrinologist Medanta Hospital).
• Another endocrionologist from DMC & Hospital, Ludhiana was also invited to be the moderator.
• He was Dr. Naveen Mittal who answered all the queries from the audience.

• Topic was “Anemia in pregnancy”.
• The talks were by Dr. Joseph John (CMC & H) , Dr. Alka Sehgal (Gynaecologist, GMC, Sector 32, Chandigarh )and Dr. Anita Tahlan (Haematologist GMC, Sector 32, Chandigarh).
• The session was very interactive.

• The annual accounts details was told to the audience by Dr. Ginny Gupta (Treasurer, LOGS).
• The annual report of activities of LOGS in the form of managing council meetings, CMEs and cultural programmes was read by Dr. Saroj Aggarwal (President, LOGS).
• Further activities for the next year were planned.
• Stress was laid upon holding more of social activities in which public could be benefitted.

• ‘Evolve’ symposium was held at Radisson blu Hotel, Ferozepur road, Ludhiana.
• A galaxy of speakers and chairpersons were invited from various places in India to be a part of the conference.
• A full day conference was held from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM and also four PMC credit hours were accredited.
• 170 delegates attended the seminar.

• CME cum cultural event held by LOGS at T 5 , Ferozepur road, Ludhiana from 2.00pm to 6.00pm.
• Scientific deliberations were held on infertility from 2.00 to 4.00 pm.
• The speaker was Dr. Mandeep kaur from Nova IVI centre, Jalandhar. Her talk on ovulation induction protocols was followed by a panel discussion.
• The panelists were Dr. Minni Ahuja, Dr. Ruchika Sofat, Dr. Vijaydeep kaur & Dr. Mandeep Kaur.
• Dr. Vanie Sharda, infertility specialist discussed the case scenarios of infertility patients with the panelists.
• Music and Dance programme was organized by LOGS to celebrate “Merry Christmas” and welcome the “New Year”.
• A life time achievement award was given to Dr. Jagjit Kaur from Pal Nursing Home for her contribution to the department of Gynae. and Obs. since the year 1975.

• CME held by GSK pharma in association with LOGS on 20/01/2017 in “Hotel A” Ferozepur road, Ludhiana at 8.00PM
• First talk was on “hypothyroidism in pregnancy” by Dr. Savita Jain from Oswal Hospital, Ludhiana.
• The second talk was on “Total Laproscopic Hysterecotmy” by Dr. Ashish Ohri from Arogya Hospital, Ludhiana.
• 40 people attented the session followed by dinner.
• The speakers and the chairpersons were felicitated by giving them potted plants by the President LOGS.

• The chairpersons for the first talk were Dr. Iqbal Ahuja(Gynaecologist), Dr. Aruna Dhar (Gynaecologist) & Dr. Anand Sehgal (urologist).

• This CME was attended by approx. 70 people & well appreciated.

• Women’s Day celebration was done on Sunday (05/03/2017) in place of 08/03/2017.
• A fitness programme was held in Rakh bagh, Civil lines, Ludhiana in which, four type of activities were done by the doctors at 7.00AM.
• Aerobics class taken by Dr. Poonam Kochar, Dr. Kheema Sethi & Dr. Atima Gupta.
• All other doctors joined the footsteps and enjoyed.
• Cycling was also done by a few members.
• There was a talk by Dr. Vinu regarding healthy diet.
• Another talk was by VLCC people for skin and hair care tips.

• The 2nd topic was by Dr. Deepak Bansal (Radiologist & fetal medicine specialist), he spoke about “Ultrasound in IUGR”.
• The session was very interactive.

• A CME held in Hotel Maharaja Regency, Ferozepur road, Ludhiana from 2.00PM to 6.00PM. Attended by 80 people.
• The topics covered were related to hormonal contraception.

• More than 100 people attended the CME which was held under the aegis of Punjab Medical Council. Four credit hours were allotted by PMC for the CME.

• Elections for the next tenure were also held, the election commissioners were Dr. Iqbal Ahuja, Dr. Anantjeet Kaur & Dr. Vaneet Kaur.
• Dr. Saroj Aggarwal was elected President for next tenure of 2 years & Dr. Manu Singla as the treasurer.
