On Friday 14th April 2017, LOGS (Ludhiana Obstetric and Gynecological Society) organized its general elections for its office bearers. Dr Saroj Aggarwal was elected again as the president of the society for the second term of two years. She has lead the society to achieve tremendous growth, both in terms of number of events held and the rise in participation of society members in the events.
A CME (Continuing Medical Education) was also held along with the ceremony on the ovulation induction. New advances such as introduction of the drug Letrozole, an ovulation inducing drug was relaunched after the ban for long time period. Dr Lakhbir Dhaliwal was the speaker at the event who emphasized that infertility is on the rise and adequate interventions need to be done. LOGS is a society of eminent Gynecologists of Ludhiana city that has grown considerably faster in the last few years. It currently consists of over 210 members, who assemble frequently to conduct academic meetings with an objective to disseminate and share some of the best practices in the field of Gynecology and obstetrics. It enables experienced medical practitioners to come forward and share their views on some of the important topics to shape up the knowledge of other participating members of society. On many occasions, various national and international faculties are also convened to present their learnings.
