A) LOGS has been started distributing awards to the empowered Women on International Women’s Day (8th March), every year since 2015.

B) Life time Achievement Awards has also been given in the last 2 years to the senior gynaecologists who had tremendous contribution to the deptt. of obs & gynae in the previous year.They have been conferred on Dr. SK. Kohali and Dr. Jagjit Kaur

ONE OF SUCH GALA EVENT WAS HELD ON 08/03/2016

LOGS had celebrated an International Women’s day at the IMA house from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. It was the first of its kind, big cultural program.
Many doctors, their children, as well as students of Government college of girls and Navkiran school had actively participated in the songs, skits, and choreography.
Dr. Saroj Aggarwal had given a lecture on women empowerment.
Awards were distributed among the 10 empowered women, namely:
Dr. Renu Chatwal (Civil surgeon).
Dr. Raj Cheema (Senior Most Gynaecologist).
Mrs. Amarjit Naaz (Academician).
Mrs. Poonam Sharma (Social Worker).
Mrs. Namita Sharma (Blind Singer, Sa-re-ga-ma fame)
Mrs. Gurpreet Purewal (ACP, Police).
Dr. Mahinder Kaur Grewal (Principal GCG).
Dr. Neelam Sodhi (Social service of Children with Cerebral Palsy).
Mrs. Simple Kwatra. (Mrs India, 2014, 1st Runner’s up, from Fashion World).
Mrs. Rajni Bector (Entrepreneur, Cremica)
The highlight of the program was the ramp walk performed by LOGS members.
The visitors were also offered Hb, RBS & TSH Testing, free of cost.
More than 100 people were present in this function.
